THE IMPORTANCE OF SEASONAL MAINTENANCE

Just like a car – or any machine with wearable and moving parts - if an HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) system is not properly maintained, it has to work harder and as a result, its life expectancy can be shortened. Regular maintenance is needed to keep your system in good working order. Some of the advantages of doing so are:

  • Properly maintained units can save energy
  • Properly maintained units can prevent excessive wear and tear on many parts of the system.
  • The air quality in your home is dependent upon a properly maintained system
  • Regular maintenance can alert you to a latent problem within your system, which if left unattended, will not only reduce the efficiency and performance of your system now, but may later result in the need for a more expensive repair or premature replacement of the system.
  • When systems break down, it can be costly and inconvenient.
  • Having your furnace break down in the wintertime can jeopardize your health and your home. There is no such thing as comfort in a cold house.
  • Having a broken air conditioner or central air system in the summer can be uncomfortable and even unhealthy when there are air quality advisories.
  • Many manufacturers and warranty providers require regular seasonal maintenance on HVAC equipment, in order for the their warranties to remain valid. We are more and more frequently seeing this requirement.

Our Seasonal Maintenance Agreement covers the inspection and servicing of your Air Conditioner in the cooling season and your Furnace in the heating season (or, if you have a Heat Pump, the cooling function of it during the cooling season and the heating function of it during the heating season). As an added value, customers who have an active Seasonal Maintenance Agreement with us are not charged a separate diagnostic/service call fee (currently $105) if there is a problem with their system that occurs ‘in between visits’. I.e., if you have an active Seasonal Maintenance Agreement with us and we have come to back out to diagnose and repair something that was not in need of attention during our most recent visit, our charges for repairing that will be billed based upon a flat rate cost for that particular repair, as opposed to diagnostic fee/service call plus the flat rate cost of the repair.

Our price for a single system Seasonal Maintenance Agreement is $280.00 Subsequent systems at the same location, are an additional $210.00 each. Filtration systems and additional components are priced individually - if you have a specific question about your system(s), please feel free to ask!

If you feel that this is something you may be interested in, or if you have some additional questions, please give us a call. Likewise, a copy of our Seasonal Maintenance Agreement can be requested by email, for your review. We are here to help and look forward to being of service!

Thank you for the opportunity to earn your business!
